Westgate Youth is all about creating a fun, welcoming environment where young people can connect with others, encounter God and discover their purpose. Whether you’re new or have been coming for years, there’s a place for you here.
AGE GROUPS:
Junior High: Years 7–10
High School: Years 9–13
WHEN WE MEET:
High School Youth: Fridays during the school term, 6:30pm–8:30pm
Junior High: Sundays. Young people join worship and Family Time in the main service, then head to Cinema 4 for their own gathering.
WHAT A TYPICAL NIGHT LOOKS LIKE:
Every youth gathering includes:
Fun – games, activities and connection
Food – sharing time together
Worship – encountering God
Message – practical, faith-building teaching
Small Groups – building friendships and growing together
MEET THE YOUTH LEADERS
Westgate Youth is led by Genesis Nathan, who has been part of the youth team for 12 years and has led the Westgate Youth Ministry for the past five years. She has a big heart for the next generation and is passionate about helping young people grow in their faith. Genesis and her team love walking alongside youth, building genuine relationships and creating a welcoming space where everyone belongs.
WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW:
Arrival times:
Friday nights – 6:30pm
Sundays – come along to your usual church service time
Sunday gatherings: Meet in the main service (10am), then Junior High heads to Cinema 4 after Worship and Family Time
What to bring: Bible and notebook
Parents attending: Yes! Parents can sit in for the first visit. Just let the team know and you can sit at the back of the cinema.
FIRST TIME? YOU’RE WELCOME
If it’s your first time, our team would love to meet you and help you get connected. Look out for someone wearing an “ASK ME” lanyard — they’ll help point you in the right direction and answer any questions.
