In early June 2024, a team of 16 spent 10 days visiting our Missions Churches in the Philippines to support the incredible work they are doing. The team included pastors, doctors, builders, and others eager to lend a hand. Visiting a developing country can be a life-changing experience, and the testimonies from the team are truly inspiring. Here are just a few!
Health Clinics Changing Lives
As part of the trip the team ran free Health Clinics where the team didn’t just administer medicine; they prayed for those in need and told them about Christ. There was a lot of disease, but the team witnessed over 20 healings and salvations. The power of prayer and the difference it makes in the hearts and lives of people was undeniable.
Set Free From Witchcraft
One unforgettable encounter involved a woman who visited a medical clinic (set up by the Missions team) seeking help for a wound that hadn’t healed since a car accident. Watch this video to see her journey from witchcraft to freedom.
This 3-Year Old Girl Was Left Abandoned
Serving in a community with limited resources and opportunities is an amazing blessing. One particularly touching story is about a little girl who was found abandoned. Watch this video to hear her inspiring story and see how one little girl is making a big impact on an entire community!
God Has A Great Purpose for the Philippines
Back in 2021, we used Missions giving to purchase land for the Church in Monkayo. By 2023 a wonderful children’s church building was completed on the land, watch this video to see what’s happening on that land in in 2024.
Kiwis and Filipinos are working hand in hand to build a brand-new church building in Monkayo, as well as the team filled with hope for the future. We believe that God has a profound purpose for the City Impact Churches in the Philippines, and we are excited to see how He will continue to move in this nation.
At the end of the missions trip the team had the privilege of ordaining a significant number of local pastors, each representing a youth ministry, a church, a children’s ministry, and community outreach teams. It’s heartening to witness the massive impact they’re making in their communities, reaching out with the love of Christ. Seeing where the seeds of our giving have gone and how they have multiplied is truly amazing.
