Philippines Kids Church Comes in From the Rain

We absolutely LOVE our Philippines Mission Campuses, and they just keep on growing! You might not know this – but we now have a total of 7 Churches in the Philippines, including a super recent church plant. Talk about EPIC.
Our Tagum City Campus was the first church started with 20 members by Pastors Fortune and Roselyn in 2014, and this was built on their own family land and now has over 150 members. Pastors Fortune and Roselyn then planted and grew churches in Laak, Monte Vista, Monkayo, Compostela, Maparat and Agusan Del Norte.

In Tagum City, we opened a purpose-built Kids Church building in 2021, followed by a further 3 Kids Church facilities in the Philippines from 2021-2022. These buildings are funded by donations from the 2020 and 2021 Mission Offerings, and they are looking GREAT!

Until now, children and leaders have been meeting outside under a tree (come wind, sun, rain…) or in the Pastors living room. So, as you can imagine, these brand new dedicated Kids Church buildings are ground-breaking! Our new facilities are already creating fresh ministry opportunities, and are of such great quality that they really stick out in the neighbourhoods, making them places to outreach and run kids programmes for their communities. City Impact Church’s in the Philippines have soooo many young people in the church (which is fantastic!), so these upcoming leaders can really use this as a platform to step into greater things.

Another exciting thing is that we have sent them the design files to match our Kids Church t-shirts that we have in New Zealand. We can’t wait to see our Philippines team rocking these on Sundays!

Our vision is to continue to build these Children’s facilities across the Philippines. Let’s go!

COVID has been tough on all of our Mission Campuses, and the Philippines is no different. It’s had an impact on their outreach programmes and day-to-day life. So to hear from these guys and the epic job they are doing is amazing to hear. We can’t wait to see what we can do with our Philippines Campus in the coming year!
