A place for young people to belong, grow and have fun in Balclutha.
Our youth gatherings are all about creating a safe, welcoming space where young people can build friendships, explore faith and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been coming for years, there’s a place for you here.
AGE GROUPS:
- Junior High: Ages 11 to Year
- Youth: School Years 9–13
WHEN WE MEET:
- Youth: Friday nights, 6:30pm–8:30pm (during the school term)
- Junior High: Sunday mornings during the service. Young people start in the main service and head out after Family Time.
WHAT A TYPICAL NIGHT LOOKS LIKE:
Our youth nights include:
Fun – games, activities and connection
Food – sharing time together
Worship – growing closer to God
Message – practical and encouraging teaching
Small Groups – space to talk, ask questions and build friendships
MEET THE YOUTH LEADERS
Youth at Balclutha is led by Samuel Hutton and Poppy Hutton, who are passionate about seeing young people thrive, grow in their faith and feel connected in community.
WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW:
Arrival time: 6:30pm for Friday youth nights
Sunday gatherings: Youth and Junior High begin in the main service, with Junior High leaving after Family Time
What to bring: Nothing – just come as you are
Parents attending: Parents don’t usually stay, but this can be arranged if organised beforehand
