Hand Severed But Look at Him Now.
Alfredo Mundo, worship leader at City Impact Church Cabo San Lucas, has devoted his heart to serving others through worship. In April this year, while riding his motorcycle to work, Alfredo was in a horrific accident involving a truck. Thrown off his motorcycle at speed, his injuries were severe. One of Alfredo’s hands was severed, his other hand was broken and one of his legs was broken. Even more concerning were his internal injuries, including blood in his lungs. The doctors reported that Alfredo’s life was in the balance; it was a matter of life and death.
Pastors Benny and Marychoy, along with the Church in Cabo San Lucas, are full of faith for miracles and began praying for miraculous healing for Alfredo. Alfredo survived the night, the next night and the next. His internal injuries healed and there was no longer blood in his lungs. The doctors were amazed. But God was not done with Alfredo’s miracle. It was no longer a life and death situation, but Alfredo still had a long recovery ahead of him. The broken bones and severed hand required time and much physical therapy. The doctors told Alfredo that his recovery would take two years. But God! Knowing God had brought him this far in his healing, Alfredo and the Church continued to pray and believe for complete restoration. Just three months after his accident, Alfredo is back worship leading, playing the guitar and praising God. The doctors said he was on death’s door; God said, “I have a plan and a purpose for your life and you will not die yet.” The doctors said recovery would take two years; God restored Alfredo to total health in three months. We serve a miracle-working God who always has the final say!
Through our mission support, we help the Church with resources and finances needed for people like Alfredo to minister to others and for people like Alfredo to have a community of believers around him to pray and believe with him when he needed a miracle.
