What is The Company?

The Company is everyone involved in The Christmas Spectacular that doesn’t hold a lead role.

Rehearsals for The Company start on Saturday 1 November 9am-1pm, then every Tuesday evening from 4pm-6pm and Saturday morning 9am-1pm.

The rehearsals for our Lead cast commence on Tuesday 7 October with a script read-through and then rehearse every Tuesday 6:30pm-8pm as well as every Saturday from 9am-1pm.

Yes! In order for the show to be spectacular, we need your full commitment to every rehearsal. We will learn the dances, songs and all the acting during these rehearsals, and we do a lot each week so it’s important that you make sure you’re there, so you don’t miss anything.

Please message the Events team on the Heja App to let us know you won’t be there. We understand that things pop up, but it’s vital/imperative/super important for us to know if you’re not going to be there please.

Of course you can! Just email the Events team here with the dates of when you’ll be away so the Christmas Spec Team know. Also, please buddy-up with someone to make sure you catch up on what you missed.

No. We’ve got an incredible team of people who are already making your costumes. You don’t need to do anything at the moment! The team will come around during a rehearsal early on and will take your measurements. We’ll update you on what you may need to bring along with you to complete your costume closer to the dress rehearsals.

Definitely. We encourage everyone to be practicing the dances and songs at home. Each week we will aim to learn something new and build off the weeks prior.

Food isn’t provided so make sure you bring a few snacks and your water bottle to rehearsals. On Tuesday rehearsals there isn’t a food break so please have some afternoon tea before we start. On Saturdays we will have a food break in between sessions.

Phones aren’t banned but we encourage you to leave your phone in your bag so you can get fully involved, and if the team do notice that you’re getting distracted and missing out on important info then we’ll kindly ask you to put it away.

Tech week is where we check all the microphones, items and media and the show timings. Only the lead cast are required for these nights. Dress rehearsal week is where we all get into our costumes, do our hair and make-up, and use all our props! Both leads and company are required.

Please expect a later finish time for these weeks as there’s lots to get through. Check the Heja app closer to the time for more specific information on these nights.
