We are living in unprecedented times. There is no doubt that the era of Covid- 19 has brought a lot of uncertainty and struggles around the world. It can often be hard to see beyond the present. The pandemic has amplified anxiety and uncertainty.
In Tonga, Pastor Havili saw this as an opportunity to demonstrate God’s faithfulness. Pastor Havili has been ministering worldwide via Zoom (how EPIC is technology)! Some weeks up to 20,000 have been joined and watched. He has delivered spirit-filled messages of HOPE to people around the WORLD.
This encouragement reminds me of the verse found in 2 Corinthians 4:18, ‘so we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.’
For the struggles of now are so small in comparison to the eternal glory of God.
Pastor Havili says that these times have drawn the church family closer, and they have been in prayer and worship regularly together. The church facility has become a ‘hub’ for the community and opened its doors for official government meetings. Thanks to Pastor Havili’s HEART for Tonga, the congregation continues to grow. City Impact Church did not let the pandemic stop our outreach, delivering 200 chairs to Vava’u as a result of the growth the church in 2021.
Pastor Havili says that the countless medical, dental, and food supplies continue to bless the nation. “We are what we are today, because of your love and care for us.”
