What is in Your Lunchbox Part 1 – Ps Peter Mortlock

What is in Your Lunchbox?
Ps Peter Mortlock

Romans 4:20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.

How do you see life?

  • How much vision do you have?
  • How far can you see?
  • Are you just living for today, tomorrow, the weekend or next year?
  • Can you see beyond what you’re having for lunch?
  • Are you caught up in fear or faith? The plague or the promise?
  • Do you have a dream that will take you into the future and even beyond your future?

How far you can see is going to determine how far you go and how much fruit you bear!
Let’s not allow what is happening in the world rob us of our future.
Let’s be fruitful and multiply.

How do you see yourself?
If you are stuck in a past image of your life, you need to reframe that image in your mind.
Align yourself with the promises, the purpose, the power and the peace of God.

How do you see your future?
Gideon was robbed of his vision but God had so much more for him.
Moses was misunderstood, disappointed, the stuffing was knocked out of him, but God showed up in the wilderness in a burning bush.
Peter denied Jesus but Jesus appeared to Him and said, “Feed my sheep.”
Daniel saw beyond himself even while he was in “lock down”.
Joshua looked beyond the locked-up gates of Jericho and into the Promised Land.
Abraham looked beyond his situation and believed the promises (Romans 4:13-20).
Joseph knew what it was like to be a captive yet held fast to the promise (Genesis 50:24-25, Hebrews 11:22).

One day the glory of the Lord will cover the Earth, just like the water covers the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

  • Do you believe that?
  • Do you look forward to that?
  • Do you see it?

Let’s remember the unbreakable promises of God even though some can seem far off.

Vision and Provision
The word ‘vision’ is related to the word ‘provision’.
The Latin prōvidēre means to foresee, provide for.
God is able to pro-vide because He is able to pre-see!

We can be so preoccupied and anxious about the problems and challenges we see ‘right now’ that our faith is often shaken and our trust in God is weakened.
But God is Jehovah Jireh our Provider – He who has a pro-video – He who is able to pre-see!

While we may be wrestling with a problem ‘right now’, God is far down the road and he is seeing the ‘not yet’.
By the time you get from the ‘right now’ to the ‘not yet’, He has moved the problem from the ‘not yet’ into the ‘no longer’, all because He has pre-vision and can pro-vide.

Your life is a video not a snapshot!
Your life is not a snapshot, a moment frozen in time, it is a video, an ongoing revelation of God’s ordained will for your life… and the camera is still rolling!
You are not where you are going.
It isn’t over until God says it’s over.

My God shall supply all your needs because He sees the need before you get there!
