Village Impact Child Sponsorship is a partnership between City Impact Church and the Joshua foundation in Magugu, Tanzania. Over two hundred and fifty children have been sponsored to date, allowing the Joshua Foundation to train teachers and operate a Christian primary school in an area that is 80% Muslim.

The population in Magugu including surrounding villages is 70,000.  It’s a town dealing with rapid growth and huge unemployment as its work force is reliant on casual farm work. The area also has high statistics of HIV and Aids. 

The Joshua Primary School was established in 1999. Our sponsorship goes towards teacher’s salaries, a daily meal, school uniforms, medical care and school resources. 

By sponsoring children who attend Joshua Primary School, we provide an excellent Biblical education and create a powerful domino effect. As these kids learn how they can reach their potential, they will empower a whole community, and eventually change their nation. It’s hard not to get excited about it when you look at it like that!

 When we met these children, and saw the villages in which the families live our hearts were touched with the potential of these beautiful children. We knew that we could make an immeasurable difference to the future of a whole generation.  We have great expectation about what God will do amongst these people and the effect a Christ centered education will have on this nation.
